Um, but I think just that the whole like dogged determinism, the way they always get things done, and I think the monarchy has really embodied that and just the properness of Bridget of British. Bridget, yes, you're right. The properness of Britishness. Bridget and Bridgetness are very gosh, Bridgetness. Words are hard. Yes, words are hard. But I think that's like the great thing about the monarchy, is they set this incredible example, and I think Elizabeth and Philip really have done that. Wow, I just feel like we also can't. Whoa! Yeah, we gotta celebrate.

Yeah. I mean, I um for those of you that don't know me, I don't know if I've talked about this. I'm sure I have to. R.I.P. Philip. Long live the king. Cheers to Philip. Um, I studied abroad in London. So I spent a semester there, and you know, at the time I don't think I knew enough about it, but like we went and watched Changing of the Guards and hoped we would just see the Queen. That doesn't happen. You didn't see you don't just see the Queen. But man, I was I obsessed with Prince Harry long before the rest of the war, long before the rest of America was. Um, yeah, so I feel like I feel like this episode wouldn't be complete without without, of course, talking about Harry and Megan.

Well, damn right, he should. I think that was a big plot line, though. I mean You don't think he was going to? I don't know.

This is like I don't know how I feel about all of it. Like, I I okay, first of all, my opinion doesn't matter, but I feel conflicted.

People ask me because, like, you guys, I was the level of obsession um of loving Prince Harry that, like, before I went to London for Christmas, my mom like got me magazines and books about the royal family and about Prince Harry so I could like study up and stalk him when I lived there. Well, you need to know the curtsy if you met him, so yeah, I didn't meet him nor see him or anything near that.

But there is speculation now that Philip Dyne might bring them all back together.

Like, let's be. Oh no, what Megan is not. To be fair, she's pregnant enough. I probably wouldn't fly from LA to London either. Is she pregnant enough? I have no idea when she's due.

I think she's like six. I have stopped paying attention because I feel I don't I don't really want to get haters on here, so I don't know if I should really say my feelings. And I mean, good on Harry for supporting his wife unconditionally, okay?

But you can tell it pains him and he's upset that you can tell that he knows what caused some of the problems, and it pains him, but he has supported his wife unconditionally.

I do I feel bad for the relationship. Yeah, like between the queen and Harry. I don't know. I watched Well, like the way he talked about his grandma was well, and I know I know from my obsessiveness with him, he was very close to Diana. And so, like, the part that I felt sad about was like when, you know, Diana died because of paparazzis, um, basically. And so Harry did make a comment about that. Like, you know, my mom got killed by doing this, and so I'd hate that for my family. You know, obviously that was a very, I just really made that simpler than the way he eloquently said it. But um I did so that dreamy. He's so dreamy, you guys. I did obsessive- Watch out, Tyler. Yeah, watch out. This is a real threat. I did obsessively watch Will William, I almost just called him Will. Will Will and Kate's wedding, but I didn't obsessively watch Harry's, and I think it's because I was heartbroken. Just kidding, I love Tyler.

Charles put out a very heartfelt thing about Philip, and supposedly those two supposedly War down the street was Philip was a unkind, distant, aloof father. Charles said very nice things, maybe that stiff upper lip. I was reading about um Philip. Supposedly, so you know, he was this Danish Greek prince dude that got kicked off the throne of his family got kicked out of Greece, he was smuggled out as an infant, and he got sent to these boarding schools, didn't get visited by anybody from his family for six years.

When uh it's a smaller ship, but he had his own ship that he was commanding, uh, because he was good at these things. Yeah. And he wasn't even married to anybody. He was kind of, you know, a little serious with Elizabeth. But they were dating. When uh King I think uh courting is the word and that they use for uh when when George died, he had to give up all of his uh command stuff and just be the first gentleman.

Would you like to be in that situation where you're like Okay, this has been a conflict in my life in my own head for a long time. Because I like to be in charge. So you didn't know that about that. I know, isn't that surprising? But I also think I would be a bomb first lady. So no, that's not true. I think I would just have to be in charge, and I think Tyler would be a great first gentleman.

Philip did some cool stuff uh with what he supported. He did a lot of sporting stuff, a lot of youth education stuff, um, which I thought was pretty cool. And I think that's one of the things I like about the monarchy. I'm glad that's they can pick causes and really fight for those.

Honestly, it this is so dumb, but it makes me so jealous. I'm like, I don't care about being rich and famous ever, but if I what I'm jealous is like I want to be able to like support a cause because I have endless money, you know, like I want to be able to like really make a difference like they can't, you know. I I love that's like one of yeah, my favorite things about the royal family, about anyone that has a position like that that really holds onto a cause. And I appreciate that you're doing research about him because everything I know about him is like he was just kind of in the background.

Well, and that actually made me sad because a lot of the articles were like, he was a crazy old fool, he was not a great father, blah blah blah. And it's like, so I'm not someone that thinks you shouldn't speak ill of the dead. If somebody was an asshole when they're alive, they're still an asshole. You don't have to stop saying that just because they're dead. I hear you. But I think the crown has screwed with how people view him so much. Now I think Charles is a piece of garbage. Yeah, I was like, that's the one that sticks out my head. I think he's the one that was concerned about how black his grandson would be. Oh, yeah. Like, I don't think it was Phil because I don't think it would have bothered Megan and Harry so much because it would have been like You don't?

It's like I remember one of our friends passed away um, you know, at a young age, and we like got together the night before the funeral and and put together a funeral board, which is basically uh uh pictures attached to a foam core board. Um, but I look at them at every funeral, I think they tell such a story. Okay, so I really need to know. I never considered that wasn't a thing because I've been in Wisconsin and I think. That's a very Wisconsin thing. Hey, I know we have listeners outside this state. Please let us know.

Well, this this um sorry, I interrupted you. Yeah, he that one um He was very handsome, actually. He looks like someone else. Yeah, this portrait of him in uniform they have posted on Kensington Royal, I think. But this this like funeral portrait I'm talking about, the Queen has such a lovely statement in here that was very British, first of all, at how it's stated. And she says, He has quite simply been my strength and stay all these years, and I and his whole family, and this and many other countries owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim or we shall ever know. And I just think that's so lovely and eloquent and so British sounding. So this one made me sad. This picture, I was like, you're human beings.

Well, I'm worried about Elizabeth, like 2020 crap. Like this again, 2020 not over yet, everybody. We're still in 2020. But her husband died, that I think was a huge source of strength for her, like she said in that statement. I do think that's true. I want her to abdicate. I know she said she's never done it, she would never do it. She's known service her entire life, it's what she is, who she is. But we had a Pope abdicate, so like we never thought that would happen. But if she abdicates, she can abdicate in favor of who she chooses instead of the line of succession.
